The Box of Delights

The original world premiere stage adaptation of John Masefield’s classic, pioneering children’s novel

‘There are tricks…and then there’s magic!’

After a seemingly chance encounter on a train, orphaned schoolboy Kay Harker finds himself the guardian of a small wooden box with powers beyond his wildest dreams. Caught up in a battle between two powerful magicians, Kay fights to save not just the people he loves but also the future of Christmas itself.

This fantastically festive production, originally produced for Wilton’s Music Hall, is directed by Justin Audibert (The Taming of the Shrew 2019, The Jew of Malta 2015) and designed by RSC Associate Designer Tom Piper.

Can Kay Harker save Christmas now that the wolves are running?

The Wind in the Willows

A Wilton’s Music Hall World Premiere
Poop Poop!
A brand-new adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s much loved The Wind in the Willows (first presented as The Wind in the W̵i̵l̵l̵o̵w̵s̵ Wilton’s).
Set in modern-day London our story starts in Hyde Park during the spring time, with the adventure unfolding as it moves along the Thames and through the seasons, ending back at Mole’s home in time for Christmas and carols – but only if Toad Hall can be saved from the weasels and their ferret and stoat accomplices…
The Wind in the W̵i̵l̵l̵o̵w̵s̵ Wilton’s is a fun, festive show for all the family, bringing up-to-date the Edwardian original with a playful wit and charm, with our heroes tackling modern-day climate issues (although Toad seems less keen), offering a tale of sustainable hope. There will be songs, puppetry and all the favourite characters will be there – Ratty, Mole, Badger, Toad and the Weasels. Not to mention a picnic or two…

All along the backwater,

Through the rushes tall,
Ducks are a-dabbling,
Up tails all!

The Child in the Snow

The Child in the Snow

Originally presented by Wilton’s Music Hall

Based on Elizabeth Gaskell’s The Old Nurse’s Story

Whatever you do, no matter how much he cries, don’t go out in the snow.

Elizabeth Gaskell’s famous seasonal ghost story brought to the stage for the very first time, in a thrilling, frightening and utterly original adaptation.

1918. A nurse, recently back from the front, is haunted by her wartime experience. But when she finds herself at a séance, recalling memories of a lonely childhood Christmas on the Northumbrian moors, she also unearths a dark secret that refuses to remain in the shadows…

Christmas Carol

A Wilton’s Music Hall Production

Scrooge. As you’ve never seen her before…

1838, London. Jacob Marley is dead. And so is Ebenezer Scrooge…

In our story, Ebenezer died young, but his sister Fan married Marley and, as his widow, has now inherited his moneylending business.

She rapidly becomes notorious as the most monstrous miser ever known, a legendary misanthrope, lonely, and despised by all who cross her path.

Seven years later, on Christmas Eve, Fan Scrooge will be haunted by three spirits.

They want her to change. But will she?
